Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is a lipoprotein subclass assembled in the blood from low density lipoprotein (LDL) molecules and apolipoprotein~a (apo~a). Lp(a) recruits inflammatory cells through interaction with Mac~1 integrin.
